HOW JEREMY USES FITNESS TO TURN HIS STRUGGLES INTO STRENGTH
"I am currently going through a divorce and custody battle, so my workouts have been my escape, stress relief and support system. When I was still in the house before our separation I would do my kettlebell workouts while I waited for my wife to go to sleep because of how stressful our home had become. I became seriously depressed during this time and it impacted my daily ability to function. I would cry at work and have to go into a different room so the kids wouldn't have to see me in uncontrollable tears at home. After I moved out I got into a consistent workout schedule and began training in the kettlebell sport, Girevoy. That class became my happy place, not only because of the workout, but even more because of the people. They were my support structure to listen to me and offer help whenever possible. Now I use exercise to help my mental state, ADHD and to show my kids what a healthy life looks like. I use my story to encourage others to get help when dealing with depression and anxiety. Weakness hides, it takes strength to ask for help!"
My desk is covered in Spiderman, Deadpool and The Flash. I love both Marvel and DC.
My go to TV is anime, if I'm watching anything. I use it as my brain break.
