HOW BRANDON USES FITNESS TO TURN HER STRUGGLES INTO STRENGTH
"I grew up playing lacrosse and dreamed about playing in college. In April 2012 during a High School lacrosse game, I tore my ACL. When I was informed that I tore my ACL, I thought my active life was over. This caused me to go into a depression and I felt I had lost my identity. After a year of struggling with this, I turned to weightlifting. I didn't know much about it but I was eager to learn. This lead me to get into powerlifting and bodybuilding. I have been able to use this to get out of my depression and now I am stronger than I have ever been before, both physically and mentally. I hope that I can use fitness to encourage others when they are struggling for many years to come."
I was put into school a year late and have always been one of the oldest students in my class.
