HOW AMY USES FITNESS TO TURN HER STRUGGLES INTO STRENGTH
"Running and working out has always been an outlet for me. It wasn't until about four years ago when I was diagnosed with mental illness that I would realize how important they really were to me. I have had many dark days due to many different circumstances and one thing that I always tried to stay consistent with was running. Running has kept me grounded and helped me see the light when things were getting dark. I try to tell people that are suffering from a mental illness to try to focus on something to help them see the light and try to help with the dark days, and once they start focusing more on the light soon the darkness seems to disappear. Always focus on the good, find something that makes you happy and try to do it everyday. Small changes equal big changes."
I love to go fishing and I bait my own hooks.
