"In November 2016 my wife and I suffered a miscarriage. It took us both down to the ground and absolutely broke our hearts. Being a Dad is the most important role I'll ever have in life. The very next day I started a new diet and fitness program. The gym was the only place where I could let my emotions out through sweat, strength and finally something positive that made me feel better.
I trained my ass off, I ate clean, and I went from a 14% body fat to a 9% body fat. My mind was clear. I still have not forgotten about what happened, but I'm accepting it and knowing that God has a plan. With fitness, my body became better and I became stronger mentally. I turned to fitness as a way to gain perspective on this tragic event, and that is why I am Virago."
I think most people would be surprised to know that I meditate every single day. I've never been a guy who can sit still for more than 5 minutes. I do it through various forms, but I always make it a priority as soon as my day starts.
